Toshiba Data Recovery
Data Retrieval and Recovery from Toshiba Hard Disk Drives
Need To Recover The Data From A Broken Toshiba Hard Disk ?
Data Clinic are UK wide experts in the recovery of computer data from all types of Toshiba hard drive. Whether the drive is from a Server, PC, Mac or an external hard disk drive such as a Toshiba STOR.E, we are often able to access the drive and fully recover the all data.
Common Failures On Toshiba Hard Disk Drives
1. Accessing the data on the drive is very slow and sometimes not possible
A common problem on all hard disks – not just Toshiba ones, this fault is caused by the data on the disk becoming unreadable. This can be due to wear and tear, the age of the drive or poor manufacture. It’s a problem that spreads quite quickly so we always recommend that the drive is switched off in order to preserve the data it contains. We also recommend that disk checking programs like Chkdsk and Scandisk are not run as they will cause more damage and reduce the chances of successfully recovering the data.
2. The computer no longer recognises the hard disk drive
The disk will no longer be visible to the computer and sometimes (particularly on external hard drives) there with be an noticeable ticking noise. Alternatively, the disk may appear completely dead and not even spin. Failure symptoms like these strongly suggest that the hard drive has an electro-mechanical problem. Often the recovery will involve the drive being worked on in our cleanroom.
3. Some files and folders have been deleted and you need them back
Sometimes there’s nothing wrong with the Toshiba hard disk – rather it’s human error, a software bug or virus that has caused the problem. Successfully recovering the data often involves repair the data structures on the hard drive and then piecing together the files and folders.
4. The drive will spin up then spin down… spin up then spin down… spin up then…. etc
You get the idea… This is often due to problems with the drive’s spindle motor. The fault is mechanical in nature and the recovery requires a cleanroom. We are very successful in recovering data from all types of Toshiba fault.
The Data Clinic Advantage
Data Clinic are data recovery professionals and have been since 2002. Recovering data is all we do, and with over 10 years knowledge at retrieving data from Seagate hard disks we are good at what we do.
We are not an IT company or PC shop. Organisations like these deal with faulty hard drives rarely and have little if any data recovery experience, so if you’ve been told by one of these places that the data on your hard drive is not recoverable, this information could well be wrong. Contact us, we’ll ask you a few questions and be quickly able to identify if the data on your drive has a chance of recovery.
