Update to Hard Drive Failures Page

Rich media is everywhere isn’t it…. So now you’ll be finding it on the DataClinic site too.

The first addition is to our Hard Drive Failures page (https://www.dataclinic.co.uk/hard-disk-failures/). There’s now a link to an audio file of a hard drive that has mechanical failure. So you’ll be able to listen to it and if it sounds like your hard drive, then it may well have a mechanical fault.

Mechanical hard drive faults usually relate to the heads on a drive failing or to damage to the hard drive’s service area (an important part of the hard drive that is accessed at boot time).
