Isn’t formatting or factory-resetting enough?
No — and we’re uniquely placed to say so. Recovering data from formatted drives and “reset” phones is a normal working day in our lab. A format removes the index, not the data.
Can’t I just drill through the drive?
We’ve recovered data from drives that have been drilled, submerged, burned and run over. Partial physical damage often leaves most of the platters readable. If a recovery lab can get data off it, so can someone else.
What proof do I get?
A per-device Certificate of Destruction recording make, model, serial number, method, date — and the result of an actual recovery attempt by our engineers.
