Swapping controller boards on Fujitsu hard disk drives for data recovery purposes

Due to the variations in the manufacturing process, some Fujitsu drives do not have exchangeable PCBs. Drives in this category (MPG3102AT and MPG3204AT) require specialist Data Clinic attention.

Other drives in the range do not present problems for PCB exchange, provided the model number and firmware revision are matched. On these drives the firmware revision is located on the drive’s label as shown below:
