DATACLINIC IS DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE THE ARRIVAL OF A SPINSTANDDataclinic has recently acquired a Spinstand which will greatly enhance our Advanced Data Recovery (ADR) capability. Current ADR techniques operate on magnetic storage media only within the environment of the hard disk drive. Because of this limitation a certain percentage of disk drives are presently unrecoverable by any data recovery company. However the Spinstand enables our technical team to remove components (heads, head stacks and disks) from hard disk drives and to mount and operate them within a simulated hard disk drive environment.
The use of the Read Write Analyzer (RWA) in conjunction with the Spinstand gives our technicians the opportunity to conduct tests on components that they have been unable to perform before. These include Track Average Amplitude, Bit Shift Analysis and Frequency Test among others.
Exciting though this is, the ability of the Spinstand and the RWA to capture and analyse raw data not only breaks new ground in our ADR functionality, but also provides us with new R & D opportunities. As reported elsewhere on the website, significant work has already been undertaken by Dataclinic which has led to the creation of our new hard drive manipulation platform DiskMaster. Please note that all modern hard disk drives are manufactured to very high standards, fail infrequently and have very similar rates of reliability.
