What a Comic Relief !
Red Nose Day’s television extravaganza Comic Relief:
Funny for Money was threatened with the loss of key video footage
from Africa, after the external hard drive containing the feature
failed leaving producers unable to access the files.
Data Clinic to the rescue!
As part of our emergency service, the drive was rushed by courier
to the lab at Bury, Manchester where our ace technicians arrived at
the scientific diagnosis that it was behaving funny! (we have a nose
for these things you know!). Nevertheless within less than 24 hours
the fault was rectified, over 100 Gb of data was recovered fully intact
and the files readied for return courier to the studio.
Technical Support Officer Rob Gurney passed on Comic Relief’s
thanks and gave two big thumbs up for our speedy service, especially
to Andy and the rest of the customer services department. So it’s
red noses rather than red faces and all at Data Clinic wish Red Nose
Day 2009 the very best of success.
